Modern Punk has arrived with Neuw Denim’s Black Rope Range
The Black Rope concept from Neuw Denim is born from a time when Punk Rockers dressed to embody the belief that society was broken and the rules of convention were something that needed to evolve. They bent ideas of uniform and class by taking what was formally considered utilitarian clothing and overdying it black. The result was a jean that had more sex appeal – with a dark, sharp edge. Black Rope exemplifies this spirit while creating something modern for now.
Instead of overdying the whole garment as the punks did each thread in the Black Rope range is dyed individually. The resulting product grows character over time while maintaining the same dark, modern attitude of the Punk Rockers who influenced the range.
Shop darker, sharper, reinvented denim with Neuw’s Black Rope range available soon in a store near you.

This season Fred Perry introduces the Ventile bomber jacket. As part of their men’s Laurel Wreath Collection, Fred Perry have created the perfect spring jacket based on the brand’s iconic tennis bomber shape using the single-layer Ventile fabric. Ventile first came about in the late ’30s when the British government required a protective clothing fabric to develop efficient garments for the RAF. The fabric is entirely natural product and is made from 100% cotton. Densely woven in the UK from the finest, long staple fiber, it offers excellent weatherproofing and durability. The jacket is available in three colorways – Royal Blue, Maroon and 1964 Olive – each with a Stewart tartan lining, including the original Ventile neck label and swing tag. Retailing is set at £195, with availability through Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Collection shops globally.

The Fred Perry Shirts will sit in all Laurel Wreath shops alongside fifty vintage classic cycling jerseys in merino wool from the 60’s that have been hand picked by the in-house design team.
Here´s a first preview of the upcoming Fred Perry and Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Both lookbook images and product images are included in the preview, giving you a detailed look at the 7th collection of the two brands.
“For their 7th collaboration the Fred Perry and Raf Simons Spring Summer ‘11 collection goes back to basics, re-working classic Fred Perry pieces by incorporating Simons’ signature minimalist silhouette and styling. The Fred/Raf hybrid polo shirt is the mainstay of the 38 piece collection. Featuring a traditional shirt stand collar and body darting that creates a slimmer, cleaner silhouette. The key styling detail is the use of Riri zips on select product. Manufactured in Switzerland, made to order and hand-polished the Riri brand has been supplying zips for 100’s of years and adds a ‘couture feel’ to classic Fred Perry fashion sportwear – zips replace the traditional button placket on the polo shirt and are found on side seams of longline, sleeveless pique tunics and slim-fit harrington jackets. Other key pieces include zip through sweaters, hoodless sleeveless sweaters, skinny fit trousers and shorts. The 30 leaf Fred Perry laurel originally used in the 1960’s continues to be used exclusively on Fred Perry and Raf Simons collaboration product.”
The collection has been released online today here.
Stussy Deluxe and Fred Perry worked together on a full line of apparel and accessories. Sticking with a simple co-branded theme, the pieces all carry-on a black, white and red color story with color-blocked bags, polos, ringer tees and belts. These items will arrive at retail for Fall 2011
“I’m really excited about doing this collection with Fred Perry. We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s great to see it finally come to fruition.” – Amy Winehouse
A long-time Fred Perry fan and aficionado, Amy has now collaborated with the brand on her own 17 piece Fred Perry apparel and accessories collection. It’s Amy all over – sharp, clever, sexy, lots of attitude – but stays true the Perry aesthetic and unrivalled heritage. Classic pieces – the twintipped M12 polo shirt, the Harrington jacket, the jumper dress – are given the full Winehouse treatment and still remain instantly recognisable. A girly twinset has Fifties sex siren written all over it, gingham goes from homely to hot, pencil skirts become dangerously short, Capri pants find a punkinspired edge, a mini bowling shirtdress flaunts in equal measure. Colours are predominantly blackand pink. Collars are most definitely raised and ready for action. And yet for every tomboy twist there’s a deeply feminine twirl.
With Fred Perry making its inaugural appearance in Kuala Lumpur, the brand invited eight personalities from the local scene to customise the classic iconic polo shirt. They included fashion stylist Allien Gan, newscaster Davina Goh, post rock band Deepset, blogger Joyce Kristen Wong, Malaysian Official Designers’ Association Young Designer Competition winner Miki Lee, fengshui artist Munkao, Zouk KL resident DJs Twilight Actiongirl and photographer Vincent Paul Yong.
Each of these hand-crafted designs will be displayed at the Suria KLCC shop window for a month long exhibition titled Mod Meets Bold. The exhibition paves the way for the launch of Fred Perry Subculture Night which will be launched in KL mid next year after making its successful debut in Singapore.
